We are over 65 years old!
Northwestern Stage Lines was incorporated in Idaho in 1946. The company is primarily a family-owned business with its roots in Boise, Idaho.
Northwestern Stage Lines operates 20 coaches from its Spokane facility. Seven of the coaches are ADA accessible (wheelchair lift equipped) and six coaches have GPS locator systems and are monitored through the Spokane facility.
The strength of Northwestern Stage Lines is derived from its management and personnel. The management has been the same for the past two decades.
- Cleto Achabal, President, has worked for the company since graduating from Walla Walla College in 1981.
- Shirley Sample is our Chief Financial Officer. She has worked for the company for the past nineteen years. Prior to that, Shirley worked as an account executive for Empire Lines for seventeen years.
- Our Safety Director, Roger Vollmer, owned and operated Nava-Hopi Tours for thirty-two years prior to coming to work for our company.
- We are excited about our two newest additions, Rodney Johnson, who is now the Northwestern Stage Lines' Charter Manager; and Charlie Neill who is our Schedule Manager. Both of these gentlemen have been in the bus industry for several years in many capacities.
Northwestern Stage Lines operates over 250,000 miles each year and transport over 200,000 passsengers each year. Nearly sixty percent of our business is derived from charter and tours; and the remaining forty percent of our business is in the regular route services between:
- Boise - Lewiston - Pullman - Spokane
- Spokane - Wenatchee - Everett - Seattle - Tacoma
- Omak - Wenatchee - Ellensburg
